By Belize Live News Staff: The Belize Agricultural Health Authority (BAHA) is currently hiring for the role of Accounts Payable Clerk based at its headquarters in Belmopan. The authority is encouraging suitably qualified individuals to apply before the August 5, 2025, deadline.
To be considered for the position, candidates must possess at least an Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or hold a Certified Accounting Technician Certificate with a minimum of two years’ experience in accounts payable. Applicants should demonstrate strong ethics, attention to detail, excellent communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in English, working knowledge of Spanish, and advanced computer skills including Microsoft 365 and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions are essential. Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and holding a valid Class “A” Driver’s license are additional requirements.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role in processing financial transactions and ensuring timely and accurate payments in line with BAHA’s financial policies. The position offers a salary on Pay Scale 9, starting at $17,489.40 with annual increments up to $33,458.52.
