By Belize Live News: A disturbing discovery was made in southern Belize this morning as police were alerted to a decomposed body in Silver Creek Village, Toledo.
Police responded to the scene before 8:00 a.m., where they encountered the lifeless body of a male resident. The identity of the individual has not yet been officially released pending notification of family.
Initial reports suggest that the body was already in a state of decomposition, indicating that the individual may have died several days ago.
The remains have been transported to the Punta Gorda Hospital Morgue for a post-mortem examination. Investigators have not ruled out foul play, and an autopsy is expected to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
This marks yet another unsettling development in southern Belize, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
