By Belize Live News Staff: A tragic incident has rocked Bella Vista Village in southern Belize, where the bodies of two young girls, ages 7 and 9, were discovered inside a well over the weekend.
According to reports, Toledo Police were called to Farm Four in Bella Vista on Saturday, where they made the discovery. Officials have since confirmed that both bodies were retrieved, but the circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unknown at this time.
Investigators have not yet determined whether the incident was the result of foul play or an accident. A post-mortem examination is expected to shed more light on the cause of death.
