By Belize Live News Staff: Belize has taken a significant step forward in global travel connectivity. Air Canada will introduce its first-ever nonstop flight from Montreal to Belize City, beginning December 8, 2025. The announcement, made in partnership with the Belize Tourism Board, means increased accessibility not only for Canadians but also for travelers across Europe.
This new service unlocks same-day connections from 23 major European cities—including London, Paris, Madrid, Rome, and Zurich—making it easier than ever for international visitors to arrive in Belize without extended layovers or overnight travel.
Flights will run weekly: departing Montreal on Mondays and returning from Belize on Tuesdays. Operated by Air Canada Rouge, the Airbus A319 will offer both Premium and Economy seating.
According to Minister of Tourism Anthony Mahler, the milestone reinforces Belize’s commitment to expanding its global presence: “With this same-day connection, Belize stands ready to welcome new and returning visitors to immerse themselves in Belize’s unique natural and cultural attractions.”
Air Canada’s Vice President of Network Planning for North America, Alexandre Lefevre, praised Belize as a destination “renowned for its rich history, culture and natural beauty,” and noted the convenience of winter travel from both Canada and Europe.
Tickets for the Montreal–Belize route are now on sale through Air Canada’s website.
