By Belize Live News Staff: This July 4th brings mostly pleasant weather across Belize as the general forecast calls for sunny skies, occasional cloudy periods, and only isolated showers or thunderstorms throughout the day. The country continues to benefit from stable atmospheric conditions, making it a good day for outdoor activities and travel.
Inland temperatures are expected to reach a high of 93°F, while coastal and hill areas will remain more moderate. Tonight, skies will stay partly cloudy with only a slight chance of isolated showers.
For mariners and coastal residents, the sea state remains slight with light easterly winds between 5 to 10 knots and wave heights between 1 to 3 feet. No significant marine hazards are expected today.
In the wider region, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring an area of low pressure near northeast Florida, which has shown increased thunderstorm activity. Forecasters say there’s a chance it could briefly develop into a depression, but the system is not forecasted to approach or impact Belize.
As the weekend continues, residents and visitors can expect continued fair weather with isolated showers. The chance of increased rainfall slightly rises Saturday night, particularly in southern Belize.
