Hot Monday forecast with brief thunderstorms possible in the south

Belize set for a dry, warm start to the weekend

By Belize Live News Staff: The workweek begins under mostly sunny skies today, with Belize experiencing a moderate easterly airflow that’s carrying just enough moisture to trigger brief, isolated showers in some areas.

Most of the country will remain dry and warm, but the southern region may see isolated thunderstorms tonight, the National Meteorological Service reports.

Marine conditions remain normal but slightly choppy, with east-southeast winds blowing at 10 to 20 knots and waves between 3 to 5 feet. Mariners are urged to remain alert while at sea.

Daytime highs will be hot inland at 94°F, and warm at the coast (88°F). Cooler conditions will persist in the hills, topping off at 82°F. Temperatures will drop overnight to a comfortable 74°F inland and 68°F in higher elevations.

The tropical weather outlook remains clear, with no storm activity anticipated in the Atlantic for the next two days.

Similar weather is forecast for Tuesday, with sunshine dominating and only brief, isolated rainfall expected.
