By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans should brace for scattered showers and thunderstorms today as moist and unstable weather conditions continue to influence the region.
Forecasters are calling for a mix of sunshine and rain, with showers and isolated thunderstorms likely this morning, especially in northern and central areas. As the day progresses, activity is expected to increase over inland and southern Belize. By tonight, periods of cloudy skies will persist, with more showers and possible thunderstorms, mainly affecting southern and coastal zones.
Winds will remain generally from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots. Seas will be moderate, and waves will range between 4 and 6 feet. Temperatures are expected to be warm and humid throughout the day, with some relief overnight.
No tropical cyclone formation is expected over the next two days, according to the latest Tropical Weather Outlook from regional meteorologists. The outlook for Thursday and Thursday night suggests the unstable pattern will persist, with cloudy skies and showers continuing mostly over the southern part of the country.
