Hot Monday ahead as showers and thunderstorms continue across Belize

By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect another hot Monday with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms as relatively moist and unstable weather conditions continue across the country.

The National Meteorological Service says skies will be sunny with some cloudy spells today before becoming cloudy at times tonight.

A few showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected around the country this morning, with slightly more activity over southern areas.

Rainfall is expected to decrease during the afternoon, becoming generally isolated across Belize.

However, a few additional showers could develop over southern communities tonight.

Despite the unsettled conditions, temperatures will remain hot, particularly inland, where the daytime high is expected to reach 93 degrees Fahrenheit.

Coastal areas can expect highs around 90 degrees Fahrenheit, while temperatures in the hills will reach approximately 82 degrees.

Marine conditions will be relatively calm, with a light chop and waves between two and four feet. Winds will blow from the northeast to east at five to 15 knots.

Looking ahead to Tuesday, partly cloudy skies are expected with generally isolated showers across Belize.

A few more showers could develop along coastal areas Tuesday night.
