By Belize Live News Staff: Thursday brings more of the same for Belize: sunshine, heat and a chance of storms later in the day.
The Met Service says isolated showers and thunderstorms will affect offshore and some coastal areas this morning. In the afternoon, attention shifts west, where a few showers and storms are likely.
Temperatures will be high across the country. The coast can expect 90°F, inland areas 95°F and the hills 82°F. Overnight lows will be 80°F on the coast, 74°F inland and 68°F in the hills.
Seas are calm, with southeast winds of 5 to 10 knots and waves of just 1 to 3 feet, good news for fishers and boat operators.
The weather pattern is expected to continue into Thursday night and Friday.
High tides today are at 8:20am and 8:36pm, with low tide at 2:38pm. Sunset is at 5:35pm.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Isaias continues to churn in the Gulf of Mexico but poses no direct threat to Belize.
