By Belize Live News Staff: Wednesday brings more sunshine and heat for much of Belize, with the chance of showers and storms building later in the day.
According to the Met Service, skies will be sunny with occasional clouds. Isolated showers are expected, and the Maya Mountains could see thunderstorms in the afternoon.
As night falls, clouds will increase. Showers and thunderstorms are likely to affect inland communities first, then move across the country through the night.
Expect highs of 89°F along the coast, 94°F inland and 82°F in the hills. Overnight lows will range from 82°F on the coast to 73°F inland and 68°F in the hills.
Marine conditions remain calm, with light and variable winds, a light chop and waves of 2 to 4 feet.
Looking ahead to Thursday, skies will be partly cloudy and at times cloudy, with isolated showers and storms. Activity is expected to pick up slightly Thursday night.
Today’s tides include highs at 7:25am and 8:05pm and a low at 2:04pm. Sunset is at 5:36pm.
Tropical Storm Isaias remains in the Gulf of Mexico and is not expected to directly affect Belize.
