By Belize Live News Staff: The race to lead Belize basketball is officially on.
The Belize Basketball Federation goes to the polls on November 7, with nominations closing November 3 at 9:00pm. Every top post is up for grabs, from President down to three Executive Committee seats.
The outgoing executive deserves credit. Under their watch, there was renewed focus on rebuilding district associations and fresh energy behind the Junior National Team.
Now the big question: who steps up next?
Belize has never lacked basketball talent. What the sport needs is strong leadership to grow the game at the grassroots, develop young players, strengthen leagues across the districts and put Belize back on the regional map.
So we want to hear from you.
Who do you think should lead Belize basketball into its next chapter? And what should be their top priority? Youth development, facilities, coaching, sponsorship or national team performance?
