Waitress slapped, hair pulled and choked leaving work

Waitress slapped, hair pulled and choked leaving work

By Belize Live News Staff: What should have been the end of a shift turned into an attack for a young waitress in Trial Farm Village.

The 25 year old told police she was leaving the restaurant where she works on Sunday night when a co-worker slapped her across the face and pulled her hair.

She tried to escape through the back door, but another co-worker, said to be the first woman’s sister, was standing there and allegedly choked her with her right hand.

The woman said the lights were on and she clearly recognized both women. She told police she does not know why she was attacked.

A doctor certified her injuries as harm.

On Saturday, police charged Arleny Lailanie Coye, 23, a waitress of Ketz Lagoon Street, Orange Walk Town, with harm.
