By Belize Live News Staff: The Opposition wants the Government to take the airspace incursion to regional and international partners.
The UDP says Belize must get a direct explanation from Guatemala on why the aircraft was flying and why it was positioned near Lighthouse Reef and Caye Caulker.
The party points out this is the second incident this month, coming after the Guatemalan Navy entered the Sarstoon on September 10.
The UDP says it is ready to support every lawful and peaceful step to defend Belize’s sovereignty.
The demands come as the Prime Minister is expected to address the United Nations General Assembly.
