By Belize Live News Staff: Orange Walk Police were called twice to a two storey apartment building on Temash Street early Thursday morning after a man allegedly went on a rampage with a machete.
A 23 year old boxer who rents upstairs says he woke around 1:00am to breaking bottles and a machete striking his door and walls. When police arrived, he climbed out his window and saw the tenant, shirtless and holding a machete about four feet long.
Police removed the man, but he returned about 30 minutes later while the boxer and others were at a nearby residence.
When police came back and escorted the man and his son to the patrol, the man allegedly threatened to return and kill the boxer.
The boxer made a report at the Orange Walk Police Station on Thursday morning and has requested court action.
