By Belize Live News Staff: The United Democratic Party will officially turn 53 years old on Sunday, September 27, marking the anniversary of its founding in 1973.
The UDP has kicked off the occasion with a special birthday celebration on Wave Radio and Television.
A special edition of Fus Ting Dah Mawnin with Juliet and Joe is being held today, September 25, from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., with giveaways, prizes and surprises advertised for viewers and listeners.
The anniversary is being promoted under the theme “United & Strong! Together We Can.”
The milestone comes amid an active period of internal discussion about the party’s future, including public exchanges over leadership and unity.
The party itself, however, is using its 53rd birthday celebration to emphasize togetherness.
The UDP was founded on September 27, 1973, according to the party’s anniversary announcement.
