By Belize Live News Staff: A Belize City woman has been charged with aggravated assault after police say she used a broken wine glass to threaten another woman during a confrontation.
The incident reportedly happened on Monday morning at a residence on Eve Street.
Police say an argument developed between a man and a woman who had entered the house.
During the confrontation, the woman allegedly threw a wine glass, causing it to break.
The complainant told police that the woman then picked up part of the broken glass, moved toward her and allegedly threatened to kill her.
She said the threat caused her to fear for her life.
Police detained a 23 year old woman later that day.
The accused was identified as Shakira Baki of Belize City.
Police later formally charged her with aggravated assault.
