By Belize Live News Staff: Professional welders in Belize now have an opportunity to validate their skills through industry welder qualification training being offered by the STEM U Foundation.
The programme is designed for individual welders as well as companies seeking to certify or verify welding skills according to AWS standards.
Qualification is available in all welding positions using SMAW, commonly known as Stick welding, GMAW or MIG welding, and GTAW or TIG welding.
Participants can qualify using carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
The cost for an individual qualification is BZ$900, while companies and groups can request custom pricing based on their needs.
Qualification sessions are available Monday through Friday after 5:00 p.m., making the programme accessible to working professionals.
