By Belize Live News Staff: Timing matters.
Police were in Santa Marta Village on Friday afternoon conducting a house search when an officer posted outside noticed a motorcycle pulling up.
Black and blue Meilun. No licence plate.
The officer asked the rider the obvious questions. Licence for the bike? Insurance? Driver’s licence?
The answer covered all three at once. He was just test running it, and he had none of them.
Luis Andres Sosa, a labourer of Santa Marta Village, was arrested on the spot and taken to the Orange Walk Police Station.
He was charged with using a motor vehicle not covered by third party risk insurance, using an unlicensed motor vehicle, and driving without a valid Belize driver’s licence.
He was granted bail and appears in court on September 11.
Test run or not, three charges is three charges.
