By Belize Live News Staff: Here is one for the Belizean hospitality workers who have mastered their craft at home and wondered what else is out there. Fort Young Hotel and Dive Resort in Roseau, Dominica, is hiring across nearly every department, and thanks to CARICOM’s free movement arrangement, Belizeans can take up the opportunity without needing a work permit.
The list of openings is long. Kitchen talent is in demand, with Commis, Demi Chef and Chef de Partie positions open. The service side needs a Food and Beverage Server and a Bar Supervisor. Skilled tradespeople can apply as Plumber, Painter, Carpenter, or Maintenance Technician in HVAC or Electronics. A Houseman, a Spa Therapist and, fittingly for one of the Caribbean’s top diving destinations, a Dive Master round out the roster.
Requirements are standard for the industry: experience helps, a Food Handler’s Certification where the role calls for it, reliability, shift flexibility including weekends and holidays, and good communication.
Belize, Dominica, Barbados, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines operate under an enhanced free movement regime that lets nationals live and work across the four countries. Confirm the current documentation requirements before you pack, then send your application to careers@gems.dm by July 31, 2026.
The Nature Island is calling. Would you make the move? Tell us in the comments.
