By Belize Live News Staff: Make the most of the fair weather early, because while Belize is in for a pleasant day, a wetter and more unstable spell is set to move in after dark.
The National Meteorological Service reports that mainly fair weather will hold for most of the day, with sunny skies and a few cloudy spells. Any showers or thunderstorms will be isolated during daylight hours. Come nighttime, however, conditions turn somewhat moist and unstable, with a few showers and thunderstorms expected to affect most areas, particularly the central and southern parts of the country.
It will stay warm across the board. Inland areas will see the highest readings, reaching 92 degrees Fahrenheit (33 Celsius) before dipping to 73 (23 Celsius). Along the coast, highs will hit 88 degrees Fahrenheit (31 Celsius) with a low of 81 (27 Celsius), while the hills stay more comfortable, topping out at 81 degrees Fahrenheit (27 Celsius) and falling to 68 (20 Celsius).
Out on the water, easterly winds will blow at 10 to 15 knots, with light chop and waves of 2 to 4 feet.
There is reassuring news on the tropical side, with no tropical cyclone formation expected anywhere in the region over the next 48 hours.
The outlook for Monday and Monday night calls for partly cloudy skies with isolated showers or thunderstorms during the day, before shower activity increases over the south on Monday night.
As for the tides, today’s low tides fall at 7:21 AM and 8:05 PM, with a high at 1:12 PM and another high at 2:14 AM tomorrow. The sun rose at 5:23 AM and sets this evening at 6:31 PM. This forecast was prepared by forecaster Derrick Rudon.
