By Belize Live News Staff: Get ready for plenty of sunshine, as Belize is set to enjoy another warm and largely dry day under mainly fair skies.
The National Meteorological Service reports that mostly sunny conditions will lead the way today, with skies turning clear to partly cloudy overnight. Any showers will be isolated, leaving most of the country dry.
It will be a hot one, particularly inland, where temperatures are expected to peak at 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 Celsius) before dipping to 75 (24 Celsius). Along the coast, highs will reach 89 degrees Fahrenheit (32 Celsius) with a low of 82 (28 Celsius), while the hills stay more comfortable, topping out at 82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 Celsius) and falling to 68 (20 Celsius).
Out on the water, winds will blow from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 knots, with light chop and waves of 2 to 4 feet.
There is reassuring news on the tropical side, with no tropical cyclone formation expected anywhere in the region over the next 48 hours.
The outlook for Saturday and Saturday night calls for more of the same, with similar fair and warm weather conditions expected to continue.
As for the tides, today’s high tide falls at 11:40 AM, with a low at 7:00 PM, followed by a high at 1:06 AM tomorrow and a low at 6:23 AM. The sun sets this evening at 6:31 PM and rises again at 5:22 AM tomorrow. This forecast was prepared by forecaster Tareek Matthews.
