By Belize Live News Staff: Make the most of the sunshine early, because while Belize is in for a fair and pleasant day, a few showers are set to move in overnight, mainly in the south.
The National Meteorological Service reports that generally fair weather conditions will prevail. Expect sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today, turning cloudy at times tonight. Any showers or thunderstorms will be isolated during the day, with a few more likely developing over southern and some central areas late tonight.
It will be a warm one, especially inland, where temperatures are set to peak at 94 degrees Fahrenheit (34 Celsius) before dipping to 74 (23 Celsius). Along the coast, highs will reach 89 degrees Fahrenheit (32 Celsius) with a low of 79 (26 Celsius), while the hills stay more comfortable, topping out at 82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 Celsius) and falling to 67 (19 Celsius).
Out on the water, easterly winds will blow at 5 to 15 knots, with light chop and waves of 2 to 4 feet.
There is reassuring news on the tropical side, with no tropical cyclone formation expected anywhere in the region over the next 48 hours.
The outlook for Tuesday and Tuesday night calls for cloudy skies at times, with a few showers and thunderstorms around the country on Tuesday. The rain is then expected to ease and become isolated Tuesday night, though the south may see a few more.
