By Belize Live News Staff: Belize will continue experiencing warm and mostly dry weather today as a moderate easterly airflow keeps major weather disturbances away from the country.
The National Meteorological Service reports that sunny skies will prevail for most of the day, interrupted only occasionally by passing clouds.
Residents in inland communities should prepare for another hot afternoon with temperatures climbing to as high as 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Coastal areas will experience slightly cooler conditions thanks to sea breezes, while the Mountain Pine Ridge and hill regions will remain the coolest parts of the country.
Rainfall activity is expected to remain limited. However, southern districts could see a few showers and isolated thunderstorms late tonight and during the early morning hours on Tuesday.
Marine conditions remain moderate, although small vessel operators are encouraged to monitor changing sea conditions as waves continue running between four and six feet.
Looking ahead, forecasters expect somewhat cloudier conditions on Tuesday, particularly along coastal and southern areas where a few showers and isolated thunderstorms may develop during the night and early morning hours.
With no tropical systems threatening the region, Belizeans can continue enjoying relatively stable weather as the country moves deeper into the rainy season.
