By Belize Live News Staff: Weather officials are warning Belizeans to prepare for unstable weather conditions as moisture continues moving across the country.
The National Meteorological Service says today will see a mix of sunshine and cloudy periods with isolated showers and thunderstorms likely to develop throughout the day. Tonight, cloud cover is expected to increase with additional showers, thunderstorms and periods of rain forecast mainly over southern and coastal communities.
Temperatures inland are expected to remain extremely hot, reaching up to 96 degrees Fahrenheit, while marine conditions remain moderate with waves between 4 and 6 feet.
Forecasters also expect unstable weather to continue into Tuesday with isolated thunderstorm activity developing mainly over inland regions during the afternoon hours. Residents in southern Belize are also advised to monitor nighttime weather conditions closely as additional showers remain possible.
