By Belize Live News Staff: Political divisions within the United Democratic Party continue to deepen following fresh criticism from former party leader Shyne Barrow.
Barrow accused the current UDP leadership of failing to inspire confidence among Belizeans and argued that the opposition is not presenting itself as a credible alternative to the government.
In his statement, Barrow questioned the party’s approach to addressing crime and national security, while also taking aim at senior UDP figures and candidates.
He further claimed that many Belizeans feel disconnected from the current opposition and warned that the party risks losing further public support if reforms are not made.
The remarks are expected to add more pressure on the UDP as internal disagreements continue playing out publicly.
