Midtown Restaurant denies allegations, calls claims fake news

By Belize Live News Staff: Midtown Restaurant and Bar has issued a press release denying allegations circulating on social media regarding the alleged entry of illegal products into the country.

The company described the claims as “fake news,” stating that all imported goods, including meat, seafood, dairy, and dry items, are brought in with proper BAHA permits and legal customs entries.

In its statement, Midtown emphasized that it adheres to all necessary health inspections and maintains quality standards for its customers. The company also noted that complaints about its operations have not come from customers, but rather from individuals it described as disgruntled former employees.

Midtown further alleged that the information being circulated was published without verification and included defamatory content. The company says it is preparing to take legal action against those responsible for creating and sharing the claims.

The restaurant has invited media and relevant authorities to contact them for verification, stating that they are prepared to provide all necessary documentation.
