The suspect, identified as Nisani Garcia, was reportedly staying inside a home without the owners’ permission when authorities located him earlier today. Police say the discovery came after following leads tied to the recent death of Stevie Lewis.
Lewis was found dead a few days ago in Silk Grass Village, prompting an investigation that has now led officers to Garcia.
While police have not formally charged Garcia at this time, they confirm he is being closely questioned and is considered a key figure in the case.
Community members in both Silk Grass and Esperanza have reacted with concern, as the investigation continues to unfold.
