San Estevan woman reports terrifying encounter with man claiming to be the devil

By Belize Live News Staff: Authorities are looking for a man following a bizarre incident in San Estevan Village, Orange Walk where a suspect claimed to be “the devil” while threatening a local household.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., the suspect arrived at a residence on a motorcycle and began a loud, drunken tirade directed at the family of a police officer. Witnesses reported the man shouting that he was the devil and making vague threats regarding the officer’s past law enforcement actions.

The complainant, the officer’s common-law partner, was advised to file a formal report. Police believe the incident is a case of harassment following a previous arrest. While “Cheto” managed to evade officers before they arrived, a “Be On the Look Out” (BOLO) has been issued for the suspect and his motorcycle.
