From Belize to the world: Barefoot Services earns global recognition

By Belize Live News Staff: The 2026 Travel and Hospitality Awards have delivered another major win for Barefoot Services, marking yet another milestone in what has already been an exceptional period for the Belizean company.

The international award builds on a standout 2025, during which Barefoot Services was named Tour Operator of the Year at the Belize Tourism Board’s National Tourism Awards. That same year, the company also became Belize’s sole recipient of the Global Tourism Excellence Awards, a distinction based entirely on verified guest reviews.

Founded by Ian and Megs Yearwood, Barefoot Services is a proudly Belizean, family-owned business built on integrity, consistency, and genuine hospitality. Beyond tourism operations, the company remains deeply involved in community and conservation efforts, including hosting Placencia’s first Battle of the Paddles kayak race in partnership with the Crocodile Research Coalition.

With national and international recognition now firmly under its belt, Barefoot Services continues to raise the standard for travel in Belize—connecting visitors with experiences that are seamless, enriching, and memorable.

Barefoot Services. Excellence recognized. Experiences remembered.
