By Belize Live News Staff: A motorcyclist was injured following a road traffic accident on January 24 along the Philip Goldson Highway between miles 63 and 64 in San Jose Village.
Police say a Ford Escape SUV was traveling from Orange Walk Town toward San Pablo Village when it came to a stop due to a minor traffic accident ahead. While the vehicle was stationary, a motorcycle collided into the right rear portion of the SUV, causing the rider to be thrown from the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, Luis Ack, was transported by ambulance to the Northern Regional Hospital, where he was treated for a cut wound to the left heel and abrasions to his foot and hand.
Police conducted measurements at the scene, and Scenes of Crime personnel processed the area. Investigations continue.
