By Belize Live News Staff: A fatal road traffic incident claimed the life of a Libertad Village resident on Tuesday night as he was traveling home from Corozal Town.
The deceased has been identified as Hassan Sutherland. Reports indicate that Sutherland was riding his motorcycle from Corozal Town toward Libertad Village when he was knocked off the cycle near the Aventura Curve. He sustained fatal injuries as a result of the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police in Corozal are conducting investigations into the incident. Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information that could assist with the investigation to contact the nearest police station or call 911.
Sutherland leaves behind his wife and three children. His sudden death has brought grief to his family and community.
