By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans should prepare for changing weather conditions today as a moderate to fresh and somewhat moist airflow continues to influence the country.
According to the Belize Met Service, skies will be mostly sunny during the early part of the day, but cloudy intervals are expected to develop as the day progresses. Forecasters say isolated showers will begin to form by late morning, with rainfall activity gradually increasing through the afternoon. There is also the possibility of isolated thunderstorms developing later in the day, particularly in areas where cloud cover becomes more persistent.
Daytime temperatures will remain warm, reaching highs near 83 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast and up to 86 degrees inland. In the hilly regions, cooler temperatures will persist, with daytime highs around 76 degrees. Overnight lows will range from the mid-70s along the coast to the mid-60s in inland and elevated areas.
Marine conditions are expected to be choppy, with northeasterly winds blowing at speeds of ten to fifteen knots. Wave heights will range between three and five feet, and small craft operators are being advised to exercise caution, especially later in the day as showers and thunderstorms develop.
