By Belize Live News Staff: The Belize Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public in locating a man who successfully fled lawful custody in the north last month.
Authorities identified the individual as Juan Soto, a 37-year-old resident of Savannah Street, Orange Walk Town. According to official reports, the incident occurred on December 16th, 2025, and Soto has managed to evade capture for over two weeks.
Soto is described as being of Mestizo descent, standing about five feet seven inches tall, with a slim build and a narrow face.
Officials stress that the public should not attempt to apprehend Soto themselves. Instead, anyone with information is encouraged to use the following channels:

Emergency: Dial 911 or 922 TIPS.
Anonymity: Information can be shared confidentially at any local police station.
The investigation into the breach of custody remains active as police continue to comb the Savannah Street area and surrounding communities.
