Public urged to avoid dealings with Travis Smith

By Belize Live News Staff: The Financial Services Commission (FSC) has moved to protect the public by issuing a formal warning against unlicensed financial activity involving an individual identified as Travis Smith.

In its advisory, the FSC stated that the individual is neither licensed nor authorized to provide financial or securities-related services in Belize. The Commission noted that such activities fall under regulated services and must be conducted only by properly licensed entities.

The FSC further warned that engaging in financial transactions with unlicensed promoters exposes individuals to significant risk and offers no legal protection under Belizean law.

As part of its enforcement action, the Commission has ordered the individual to cease and desist from any unlicensed financial activities. The public is being reminded to exercise extreme caution and to conduct due diligence before participating in any investment or financial opportunities.

The Financial Services Commission says it will continue monitoring the matter and encourages anyone with relevant information to come forward.
