By Belize Live News Staff: Police have launched an investigation after a woman reported being the target of an offensive and obscene social media post allegedly made by a minor.
Authorities said the complaint was filed on December 15, 2025, after the woman learned that a 15-year-old female had posted derogatory content about her on TikTok. The complainant reported that the post included a photo and language she described as humiliating and disturbing.
Police said the woman immediately reviewed the post and sought assistance, stating that the content caused her emotional distress and reputational harm.
As part of the investigation, police documented the complaint and retrieved digital evidence of the post with the assistance of an IT technician. The matter remains under investigation as authorities seek to address the complaint in accordance with the law.
