Two-vehicle traffic accident reported on Gravel Lane, Orange Walk

By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating a road traffic accident that occurred on Gravel Lane, Orange Walk involving a car and a motorcycle.

Police observed a grey Ford Escort on the left-hand side of the road with its front bumper and left-side headlight damaged. The vehicle was driven by Marco Maaz, a 29-year-old Belizean BSI worker from San Jose Palmar Village.

On the opposite side of the road, police observed a red Meilun motorcycle with its fender broken and damage to the light and seat. The motorcycle was driven by Hector Rene Sabido Jr., 18 years old, a Belizean laborer of Petville Village.

Sabido complained of pain to his left knee and was issued a medico-legal form. Also injured was Keila Guerra, 19 years old, date of birth February 5, 2006, of Savannah Street, who sustained a cut wound to her left foot and scrapes to her left elbow.

Mr. Maaz accepted fault for the accident and agreed to settle the matter through insurance. The scene was processed, a sketch plan was drawn, and statements are yet to be recorded.
