Light, moist airflow brings cloudy intervals and scattered showers today

Moist and unstable conditions continue across the country

By Belize Live News Staff:  The National Meteorological Service forecasts a light and relatively moist airflow across the country today, supporting periods of sunshine mixed with cloudy intervals.

A few showers and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms are expected offshore and along some coastal areas this morning. These systems will move inland during the afternoon and evening before redeveloping along the coast tonight and into tomorrow morning.

Winds will blow from the north to northwest at 5 to 10 knots, becoming north to northeast later in the day. Seas will remain in a light chop with waves between 2 and 4 feet.

Temperatures today will reach 84°F along the coast, 86°F inland, and 77°F in the hills.

The extended outlook for Thursday and Thursday night calls for a few showers over most areas, with activity favoring coastal regions.
