By Belize Live News Staff: A moist and unstable atmosphere continues to influence Belize, supporting increasing shower activity across the country. Today’s conditions call for sunshine mixed with cloudy intervals, while a few showers and isolated thunderstorms may develop, mainly in southern and coastal regions.
Tonight is expected to bring more cloud cover, along with additional showers and isolated thunderstorms forming during the late night hours. For mariners, seas will range from light chop to choppy with east southeast winds at 5 to 15 knots and wave heights from 2 to 5 feet.
Daytime temperatures will reach the mid 80s along the coast, mid 80s inland, and upper 70s in the hills. Overnight temperatures will fall to the upper 70s on the coast, low 70s inland, and mid 60s in higher elevations.
The outlook for Monday indicates that showers and isolated thunderstorms will affect most areas before gradually shifting and lingering over southern and coastal communities by nighttime.
Today’s tides include a morning low at 6:16 am, a midday high at 12:25 pm, an evening low at 5:08 pm, and a late night high at 11:30 pm. The sun will set at 5:17 pm, while the moon will rise at 8:27 pm.
