Mostly sunny skies expected today with isolated showers tonight

Sunny skies continue as dry conditions prevail across Belize

By Belize Live News Staff: The National Meteorological Service reports that a light airflow continues to support generally fair weather across the country. For today, skies will be mostly sunny with occasional cloudy periods, while tonight is expected to be clear to partly cloudy with only isolated showers.

Marine conditions remain calm, with east winds at 5 to 15 knots and seas in a light chop. Wave heights are expected to range from 2 to 4 feet.

Temperatures will vary by region. Along the coast, daytime highs will reach around 85 degrees Fahrenheit, cooling to 77 degrees tonight. Inland areas will be warmer at 88 degrees, dropping to 70 degrees overnight. Hills will remain the coolest, with highs near 78 degrees and lows around 64 degrees.

Forecasters note that Sunday morning may bring an increase in moisture, producing cloudy spells and a few showers or isolated thunderstorms along coastal and northern areas. Activity is expected to diminish to isolated showers by afternoon and through the night.

Tidal activity for today includes a high tide at 11:38 AM, a low tide at 4:17 PM, and another high tide at 10:36 PM. Tomorrow morning’s low tide will occur at 6:16 AM. Sunrise today was at 6:09 AM, with sunset expected at 5:17 PM. Moonset occurred at 8:02 AM and moonrise is forecast for 7:17 PM.
