Family searching for 65-year-old Belize City man missing since Friday night

By Belize Live News Staff: Police are asking the public for assistance in locating 65-year-old Belize City resident Owen Francis Smith, who has been missing since Friday. The report was filed on Monday, December 1, by his son, who said he last saw his father around 7:00 p.m. outside Augusto Quan on Albert Street.

Authorities say the missing man does not have a fixed address and often spends time along Albert Street or near Pinks Boutique on North Front Street. Smith is described as 5’9” tall, slim-built, dark complexion, with a white low haircut and a horseshoe-shaped beard. He was last seen wearing a blue button-up shirt, dark long pants, and black tennis shoes.

Police have sent out an all-formations alert, spoken with family members, and conducted checks at his usual locations, but no meaningful leads have been uncovered. The investigation remains active.

Anyone who has seen Owen Francis Smith or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the nearest police station immediately.
