29 business owners receive grant funding through BEEP Cohort 2

By Belize Live News Staff: The Belize Enterprise Enhancement Program (BEEP) has awarded grant funding to 29 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under its Maturing Cohort 2, marking another major investment in local entrepreneurship. With this latest milestone, BEEP has now supported 73 MSMEs, disbursing approximately BZ$783,000 in direct financing to Belizean businesses.

The program is a joint initiative of the Office of the Prime Minister, BELTRAIDE, and the CARICOM Development Fund, and is designed to strengthen enterprise capacity, expand economic opportunity, and generate long-term growth across the country.

Officials say the funding will provide participating businesses with the resources needed to scale operations, adopt improved business practices, and remain competitive in a shifting economic landscape. BEEP representatives reaffirmed that investing in local businesses means investing in the future of Belize’s economy.
