Cloudy skies and scattered showers expected today, says Met Service

Unstable weather brings showers and possible thunderstorms across Belize

Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect a cooler and variably cloudy Sunday, according to the latest outlook from the Belize Met Service. While moisture lingers over the country, most areas will experience isolated showers, with only a slight chance for increased rainfall over central and southern regions on Sunday afternoon.

Tonight’s conditions are expected to mirror today’s pattern, with cloudiness at times and occasional showers—mainly offshore and near southern coastal areas.

Marine conditions will remain moderate, as north-northeasterly winds continue at 10–15 knots with wave heights ranging from 4 to 6 feet.

Sunrise was at 6:05 a.m., with sunset expected at 5:16 p.m. The next high tide occurs at 5:16 p.m., followed by a low tide shortly before midnight.

Forecasters continue to highlight that the Atlantic Basin remains inactive, and no tropical development is expected for the remainder of the hurricane season.
