By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating a burglary at a Belize City office where thieves made off with thousands of dollars in valuables earlier this month.
The incident occurred on November 2nd, but was officially reported days later when the owner visited the Northside CIB office on November 26th. According to the report, the owner secured his burglar-bar door before leaving at 4:00 p.m. but did not lock the main office door.
Upon returning around 5:30 p.m., he discovered the main door open and several items missing. Stolen property included a MacBook, two cell phones, designer footwear, perfumes, and accessories—amounting to a $7,500 BZD loss.
Scenes of Crime personnel processed the office and canvassed the vicinity, but no leads or useful information were found. Police have listed the matter as still under investigation.
