Weekend sting operation halts alleged drunk driver in Orange Walk District

By Belize Live News Staff: Police have arrested and charged a 45-year-old resident of August Pine Ridge for allegedly operating a vehicle while impaired. The incident occurred on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, when a complaint led officers to detain Jaime Nolberto, who was later charged with driving a motor vehicle whilst under the influence of drinks or drugs.

The arrest forms part of ongoing highway safety operations targeting drunk driving and other hazardous behaviors on the road. The man was formally charged and cautioned before being placed into custody.

Officials continue to enforce strict measures against impaired driving as part of efforts to reduce road accidents and improve public safety.
