By Belize Live News Staff: Belize will see another cloudy day today as a relatively moist northwesterly airflow continues to influence the country’s weather. According to the National Meteorological Service, skies will remain mostly cloudy with occasional sunny breaks throughout the day.
A few showers or periods of rain are expected, especially over northern, central, and offshore areas. Though rainfall will be more concentrated during the daytime, forecasters say isolated showers or pockets of light rain may linger into tonight.
Winds will shift gradually from the north-northwest at 5 to 15 knots, later becoming north-northeast at 5 to 10 knots. This will produce light-choppy to choppy seas with waves ranging between two and five feet.
Temperatures remain comfortable, with highs near 82°F along the coast, 81°F inland, and 75°F in the hills. Lows tonight will dip into the mid-70s on the coast and low-70s inland.
The North Atlantic Basin remains quiet, with no tropical cyclone development expected over the next several days. Looking ahead, Sunday and Sunday night will bring mostly isolated showers or light rain, again concentrated over northern Belize.
