By Belize Live News Staff: The Miss Universe Belize Foundation is racing against time to ship Isabella “Bella” Zabaneh’s national costume to Thailand, calling on Belizeans and supporters abroad to step in and help.
The Foundation said the costume was held back to make important design adjustments after learning that, for the first time in years, the Miss Universe national costume competition will be judged. The announcement reportedly came just last week, leaving the Belize team with little time to prepare.
“Enhancements were not part of our budget, so we’re doing everything possible to make it happen,” said a representative of the Foundation. “Bella has worked so hard and deserves to step on that stage with confidence — representing Belize in all her glory.”
The team is urgently seeking logistical and financial help to ensure the costume is safely transported. They are looking for a large 60-inch packing trunk, shipping support from companies such as FedEx or UPS, and donations to cover enhancement and shipping costs.
Supporters in the U.S. can send contributions via Zelle to houseofcrownsbz@gmail.com
, while Belizean donors can contribute through Atlantic Bank, account 2110046899.
The Foundation expressed gratitude for the outpouring of national pride and support, noting that this final push could make the difference between “a beautiful costume and a show-stopping masterpiece.”
