Massive bridge beams to be transported through Belize highways on Friday

By Belize Live News Staff: Motorists across Belize are being urged to exercise extreme caution on Friday, October 24, 2025, as a convoy transporting three 70-foot bridge beams makes its way through major highways from northern Belize to Toledo.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Investment, Economic Transformation, Civil Aviation and E-Governance, in collaboration with M&M Engineering Consultants Ltd., the convoy will begin its journey along the Phillip Goldson Highway, continuing through the Boom Road, George Price Highway, Coastal Plain Highway, Hummingbird Highway, and Thomas Vincent Ramos Highway, before reaching its final destination in Trio Village, Toledo.

Drivers are advised to remain patient and alert, as the massive bridge beams may occupy the full width of the roadway during transit. Escort personnel will be present to manage traffic and ensure safety.

The Ministry and M&M Engineering thanked the public for their cooperation and urged all motorists to follow traffic signals and instructions from the convoy team to prevent accidents or delays.
