By Belize Live News Staff: Hon. Dr. Moses “Shyne” Barrow, head of the United Democratic Party, will today be honored with a Doctor of Humane Letters (Honoris Causa) from Mainseed Christian University in Georgia, USA.
The honor will be conferred during the Fall 2025 Leaders of Impact Honorary Doctorate Investiture Ceremony at the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, recognizing Dr. Barrow’s enduring contributions to music, politics, philanthropy, and public service.
This marks his second honorary doctorate. In March 2022, Dr. Barrow received a Doctorate of Humane Letters (Honoris Causa) from the University of Liberia for his life’s work “as a Humanitarian, Musician, and Legislator.”
Expressing his appreciation ahead of the ceremony, Dr. Barrow stated:
“Delighted to receive another Doctor of Humane Letters (Honoris Causa). Thanks to the Mainseed Christian University Board of Trustees for recognizing my life’s work in entertainment, political leadership, philanthropy, and service to Belize. I look forward to giving the Commencement Speech today at MCU. Congratulations to the graduating class.”
Dr. Barrow will also deliver the commencement address, where he is expected to share an inspiring message about purpose, perseverance, and leadership.
