Slightly unstable weather expected in Belize this Saturday

Moist and unstable conditions continue across Belize

By Belize Live News Staff: The National Meteorological Service reports that Saturday’s weather will start off mostly fair but is expected to turn slightly moist and unstable later in the day.

Expect sunshine with a few cloudy spells this morning, followed by a medium chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms over inland areas this afternoon, spreading to the coast later in the evening and early night.

Marine conditions remain favorable for small craft and swimmers with light west-northwest winds (0–10 knots) and slight seas producing waves between 1 to 3 feet.

Temperatures will be hot and humid, especially inland, peaking at 93°F (34°C), while coastal areas will see highs near 89°F (32°C). Cooler temperatures are expected tonight, dipping to 75°F (24°C) along the coast and 72°F (22°C) inland.

Forecasters say Sunday and Sunday night will bring generally fair weather with only a few isolated showers or thunderstorms likely.

In the tropics, Tropical Storm Jerry, located 545 miles south of Bermuda, continues to move north with sustained winds near 60 mph and poses no threat to Belize at this time.
