FBI personnel expected to testify next week in Elmer Nah trial

By Belize Live News Staff: The trial of former police corporal Elmer Nah continued in the High Court as a voir dire examines the legality of a police search conducted at his Belmopan home on New Year’s Eve 2022. Nah is charged in connection with a triple murder that shocked the nation.

On Thursday, the court reviewed three body-camera videos showing nearly three hours of police combing through Nah’s home. The defense argued that the search warrant contained discrepancies and that no warrant was presented to justify seizing certain items, including a headlamp allegedly linked to the killings and a police battle-dress uniform.

Both Nah and his wife were seen recording parts of the search on their phones. The voir dire continues Friday with testimony from police IT technicians, while FBI personnel are expected to testify on Monday.
